Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA, you will work closely with a Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions. This is a great opportunity to work on an education team and make a difference in the lives of students.

Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to improve communication skills
  • Implement therapy plans and techniques developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication with parents and caregivers
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' speech and language needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or related field
  • State License/certification
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
