Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the effective packing and shipping of products to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect contents and verify against records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to ensure the accuracy of outgoing shipments.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to facilitate material routing.
  • Determine the most suitable shipping methods based on knowledge of shipping procedures and rates.
  • Document shipment data for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
  • Coordinate with carrier representatives to arrange shipping and delivery instructions for materials.
  • Communicate with company representatives to resolve issues such as damages, shortages, and non-compliance with specifications.
  • Order and maintain shipping materials and supplies to ensure adequate inventory levels.
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, utilizing tools such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meters.
  • Engage in quality initiatives by participating in problem-solving, process improvements, and performance assessments.
  • Adhere to company and manufacturing guidelines and procedures.
  • Follow established safety protocols and 6S practices.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend assembly prints.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Work Environment

  • Typical working conditions are consistent with a manufacturing environment, which may involve lifting materials and products weighing up to 75 pounds.
