Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of the Older Adult Services/Social Work program, the Program Assistant will work closely with the JFCS Older Adult Services/Social Work team to support and monitor community services. Core responsibilities include:

  • Service Coordination: Assisting the Director with tracking client services and liaising with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Financial Documentation: Ensuring accurate documentation for online financial assistance payments and preparing reimbursement forms for the team.
  • Information and Referral: Responding to inquiries and providing essential resources to community members via phone and email.
  • Food Assistance Management: Handling food assistance requests and monitoring pantry supplies.
  • Administrative Support: Performing office tasks such as printing, filing, and attending meetings as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in client or customer service.
  • Knowledge of community resources is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
