Position Summary:

We are in search of a highly skilled and driven Regional Director of Operations to oversee the management and operational excellence of multiple hotel locations across the Alabama and Mississippi regions. This pivotal leadership role demands exceptional business insight, outstanding communication capabilities, and a proven track record of achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and guide hotel management in the development, promotion, and financial oversight of services within the designated region.
  2. Collaborate with General Managers to effectively address and manage critical property issues.
  3. Analyze individual hotel performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  4. Assist in formulating realistic and attainable hotel budgets alongside short- and long-term strategic goals.
  5. Direct and coordinate service delivery across all operational departments to surpass guest service expectations.
  6. Identify opportunities for re-engineering or restructuring operational processes as needed.
  7. Ensure stringent cost control measures are in place and regularly assess results to identify and address problem areas.
  8. Engage with hotel managers to review guest feedback and drive improvements in customer satisfaction.
  9. Monitor competitive landscape to identify strengths and weaknesses, leveraging insights to enhance hotel performance.
  10. Conduct regular briefings with General Managers and senior staff to evaluate financial performance and develop growth strategies.
  11. Review and interpret financial documents, including P&Ls and balance sheets, to aid in strategic planning.
  12. Ensure compliance with brand standards and assist in the implementation of new initiatives.
  13. Maintain proactive relationships with major brand contacts and monitor quality assurance visits.
  14. Evaluate overall operational results systematically and report findings to upper management.
  15. Oversee the adherence to franchise procedures and ensure operational standards are met.
  16. Conduct regular visits to each hotel in the region to address issues and resolve conflicts promptly.
  17. Support revenue management, pricing strategies, and marketing initiatives to drive hotel success.
  18. Work closely with Human Resources to facilitate hiring, training, and career development for hotel management roles.
  19. Encourage the growth of internal talent for future leadership opportunities within the organization.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.

- A minimum of 6 years of experience in hotel operations across multiple brands.

- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiar with hotel management systems.

- Demonstrated experience in supervisory or management roles.

This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off. The position requires relocation to the Alabama region to effectively manage the assigned properties.
