We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Purchasing Attorney to join our team at Allison Transmission. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide critical support to our Global Purchasing and Supplier Quality functions, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal guidance and support to our Global Purchasing team, including contract negotiation and review.
  • Advise on commercial contracting, licensing, and outsourcing transactions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with business leadership and functional organizations to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Support supplier compliance activities, including cybersecurity, conflicts of interest, and export control.
  • Review and advise on intellectual property matters affecting product development and contract negotiation.
  • Participate in the development of company policies and procedures, including contract templates and training materials.
  • Assist with pre-litigation matters and commercial transactions, including M&A efforts and integration.
  • Manage external legal support as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house setting.
  • Possess a Juris Doctor Degree.
  • Active license to practice law in at least one state with no pending discipline or complaints.
  • Ability to obtain a license to practice law in Indiana.
