Education and Development Fellow

BASIS Ed Texas is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Early Education Teaching Fellow. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, learn from experienced teachers, and gain valuable experience in classroom teaching.
About the Role:
- This full-time position involves working closely with experienced teachers to develop and implement effective lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and provide academic support to students.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting teachers with classroom management, student supervision, and proctoring assessments.
- They will also participate in evaluating student progress, needs, and gains, and contribute to maintaining a positive and achievement-oriented school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction, including developing and delivering lesson plans, managing classroom activities, and providing academic support to students.
- Supervise students during non-scheduled time, including Early Bird and Late Bird supervision, Lunch Monitor responsibilities, and monitoring study groups.
- Proctor assessments, manage behavior and discipline, and assist with key programs and events.
- Contribute to evaluating student progress, needs, and gains, and participate in maintaining a positive and achievement-oriented school culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to work full time
- Willingness to take and pass the NES Elementary Education Assessment, if necessary
- Willingness to acquire and maintain current practices in both subject matter knowledge and BASIS Charter School teaching methodologies
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on education and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, BASIS Ed Texas offers a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid medical and dental insurance, vision insurance, PTO, 401k with partial match, and more.
