Job Overview

This exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Conservator Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that our campus meets high standards of organizational and academic excellence. Your primary focus will be on driving strong student achievement outcomes through effective instructional strategies and classroom management techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instructional Strategies
    • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements, incorporating differentiation, scaffolds, formative, and summative assessments.
    • Prepare lessons that cater to diverse student learning styles.
    • Provide engaging instruction and appropriate learning experiences to help students reach their full potential.
    • Promote student growth and development by using ongoing assessment measures and adjusting instruction accordingly.
  • Student Growth and Development
    • Monitor student progress through accurate record-keeping and data analysis.
    • Utilize standardized testing procedures, including monitoring and proctoring tests, securing test data, and maintaining records.
  • Classroom Management and Organization
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
    • Establish clear expectations for student behavior and maintain a well-organized classroom.
  • Communication
    • Foster open communication with staff, students, parents, and the community.
    • Present information accurately and clearly through effective communication skills.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree required
  • A valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for the subject and level assigned (or accepted in an approved Alternative Certification Program)
  • Art Certification preferred: Art EC-12 or Secondary/All-Level teacher certificate plus 18 semester credit hours in art
  • Ability to lead, influence, and hold others accountable to high standards of academic and artistic excellence
  • Strong learning orientation and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Successful criminal background check required
Compensation:

The salary for this role is based on the 2023-2024 Teacher Salary Schedule and ranges between $ $58,000 and $90,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
