Artistic Director

We are seeking an exceptional Artistic Director for our Dance Education program at the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team dedicated to providing high-quality arts education in a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts is a 6-12th grade, tuition-free public charter school located in Fort Worth, Texas. Our mission is to provide a safe, challenging learning environment that cultivates academic and artistic excellence in our students. Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum requirements and drive student achievement outcomes.
• Provide instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, including accommodations for differences in learning styles.
• Maintain accurate records and reports, including attendance, grades, and assessment data.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design arts-integrated projects and activities that promote student growth and development.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and the community to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required; secondary or all-level dance certification preferred.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned.
• Ability to lead and influence others to achieve high standards of academic and artistic excellence.
• Strong learning orientation and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Successful criminal background check required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
