The Industrial Process Engineer at Acme plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing team, responsible for developing, testing, and implementing efficient production processes that minimize costs while maintaining high standards of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and evaluate production processes to maximize efficiency, yield, and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement production standards, facility layouts, and personnel requirements to optimize resource utilization.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement efforts, leveraging new technologies and equipment to enhance production efficiency.
  • Optimize production equipment to ensure maximum output while meeting product quality parameters.
  • Support quality control and improvement initiatives to resolve production issues, ensure product reliability, and minimize costs.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and standards of work to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with Process Control platforms (MES and ERP) for integration and data collection.
  • Support the integration of new products and processes into production by working with R&D, Quality, and Production teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Process or Industrial Engineer.
  • Lean or Six Sigma experience is preferred.
  • Experience in developing and implementing successful solutions for complex manufacturing processes.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in Food Manufacturing.
  • Project and process management skills.
  • Process design and development expertise.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCad.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work environment may involve sitting for extended periods or standing for prolonged periods.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of boxes or materials may be required.
  • Must be comfortable with exposure to uneven ground and floor angles.
  • Must be comfortable with stretching, bending, pulling, etc. from time to time.
  • Some travel may be required for inventory-related activities or training sessions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

  • Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
  • Report all incidents, including near misses, immediately.
