Industrial Logistics Manager

Job Description:
At Knorr-Bremse, we are seeking a seasoned Industrial Engineer to join our team. As an Industrial Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing material flow throughout our operations in plant.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and department leaders to address concerns and issues that affect material flow, production efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Corporate Logistics Engineering teams to develop and implement solutions for optimizing material presentation to the lines and continuously reduce cost.
• Manage and implement new projects, researching and benchmarking best practices in industry related to logistics and material flow.
• Establish work instructions and packaging materials needed to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are achieved at the logistics and material handling side.
• Drive the implementation of standard containerization throughout all operations, evaluating logistics constraints and implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency.
• Partner with Quality department to support RCA investigation and implementation of containment and corrective actions to mitigate and eliminate risk in terms of Logistics complaints from customers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience working in Industrial Engineering or Logistics Engineering teams in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Past experience implementing KanBan systems is required.
• Green Belt Certification preferred.
• Prior experience using ERP systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
