Job Summary

The Cash Applications Specialist will provide critical support to our financial operations team, ensuring seamless cash application processes and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process cash applications for locations, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation
  • Obtain deposit and credit card information for cash application purposes
  • Reconcile cash applications to deposits and credit card receipts, identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Complete period-end functions, including reconciling cash posted and AR Aging Sub Ledger to General Ledger
  • Research and resolve AR department inquiries as needed
  • Prepare and enter journal entries as required
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of office and/or clerical experience
  • Basic data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with accounting and financial software
  • Knowledge of debits and credits
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented individual
Working Conditions

This role requires occasional overtime, especially during closing week each month. The successful candidate must be able to lift/move up to 20 pounds, perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, or crouching, and adhere to long periods of standing, walking, or sitting.
