Job Overview

TerraBella Senior Living operates over 30 communities focused on lifestyle, care, and amenities across various states, providing a full range of senior living options.

We are seeking a dedicated Care/Medication Technician for our TerraBella Roswell community.

The role involves delivering hands-on assistance and emotional support to residents while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Caregiver Duties:

  • Manage a specific group of residents, ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the shift.
  • Monitor and document any changes in residents' conditions, including physical and behavioral observations.
  • Respond promptly to security alerts and resident requests.
  • Communicate any increased care requirements to the supervisor or Health Care Coordinator.
  • Assist with continence management and maintain sanitation standards in resident suites and common areas.
  • Serve meals and assist residents as needed, noting any meal refusals or appetite changes.
  • Ensure cleanliness in residents' living spaces and work areas.
  • Adhere to hygiene and health standards in all caregiving practices.
  • Support residents in daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Encourage participation in life enrichment activities.
  • Provide assistance to all visitors, including family members and team members.
  • Perform laundry duties for residents as assigned.

Medication Technician Responsibilities:

  • Review service plans to gather essential information about residents.
  • Assist in administering medications and treatments while adhering to established protocols.
  • Document medication administration accurately, including refusals or missed doses.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, particularly medication details.
  • Report any concerns raised by residents during medication assistance to the Nurse or Health Care Coordinator.
  • Restock the medication cart following each medication round.
  • Participate in checking medications, regardless of the packaging system used.
  • Count narcotics with another Medication Care Manager or Nurse during each shift.
  • Keep the Medication Room and related areas organized and clean, ensuring medications are available and not expired.
  • Follow the refill process for medications as required.
  • Contribute to the development and updates of the Service Plan.
  • Record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Report any occupational exposures to hazardous materials immediately.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Certified Nurse's Aide certification.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors is preferred.
