Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team at Lovelace Regional Hospital. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing and medical staff, including assisting patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • Observe patients' progress and prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
  • Obtain and record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
  • Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in phlebotomy or completion of a phlebotomy course.
  • 1 year of experience in acute or long-term care.
  • Working towards approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification.
