About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Banfield Pet Hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our furry patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, exams, and surgeries.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, veterinarians, and veterinary technicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring clients and pets feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including client information and pet health history.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods, with frequent bending and stooping.
