Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional diagnostic and therapeutic services in the field of medical imaging. Your expertise will contribute to accurate and timely diagnoses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, protecting patient health and safety, and providing world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to perform and interpret various imaging procedures, including radiographs, CT scans, MRI, arthrograms, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine studies.
  • Assist in patient assessments and physical examinations to gather relevant information for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of treatment plans based on imaging findings, collaborating with the referring healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Report critical findings to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Current Idaho state license as an Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Idaho State Controlled Substance License.
  • Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
  • BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialization or experience in medical imaging, such as radiology or nuclear medicine.
  • Proficiency in performing and interpreting various imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, arthrograms, ultrasounds, and nuclear medicine studies.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to imaging.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals, and support staff.

The hourly range for this position is $49.86 - $76.93.
