Practice Highlights:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center - Boise, along with Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG), is seeking a dedicated cardiac Advanced Practice Provider with a strong interest in cardiothoracic surgical services, emphasizing a patient-centered approach to inpatient care.

The Advanced Practice Provider in this position will be committed to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team approach to inpatient care alongside our Cardiothoracic Surgeons.

The surgical APP will assist in all cardiac and thoracic procedures and oversee the CVICU as well as the step-down unit.

The Cardiothoracic Surgery program consists of a team of 3 Surgeons, 8 APP's, 4 specialized anesthesiologists, and 4 perfusionists, all working together with an experienced staff on a dedicated floor featuring a 10-bed CVICU, 3 CVORs, and a 6-bed step-down unit.

Our team is projected to perform over 350 open-heart surgeries and more than 175 thoracic surgeries (including 80 robotic lobectomies), along with over 160 TAVRs and 75 MitraClips annually.

We specialize in adult cardiac surgery, aortic surgery, minimally invasive valve surgery, robotic thoracic surgery, and hybrid maze procedures for Atrial Fibrillation treatment. Our practice also includes ECMO and Impella 5.5 management.

The program actively participates in the STS Registry and rigorously benchmarks performance as part of a comprehensive quality and outcomes improvement initiative.

Among our achievements are a high early extubation rate, low transfusion and complication rates, and numerous regional and national cardiac surgery accolades.

Requirements:

Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with Idaho; Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
Vein harvest experience is required.

A strong medical background and a desire to grow within a multi-specialty medical group are essential.

Previous advanced practice provider experience in cardiac disease management is preferred.
