About This Role

KinderCare Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Education Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Mentor: Coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom, modeling behaviors and providing constructive feedback.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Implement KinderCare's research-backed curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child.
  • Safe and Nurturing Environment: Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Parent Partnerships: Partner and connect with parents, working together to provide the best care and education for their children.
  • Center Success: Support your center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement.
  • Community Building: Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
Requirements
  • Customer Service Skills: Possess outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: Possess an active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • State Trainer (Preferred): Approved state trainer (preferred).
  • Early Childhood Education Experience: 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • State-Specific Guidelines: Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Physical Demands: Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors. Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Language Skills: Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
