Position Summary

We are currently seeking skilled Quality Control Specialists to ensure the integrity of solder connections on PCB circuit boards, verifying compliance with relevant specifications.

This role also encompasses the inspection of hardware installations on the boards prior to shipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of manufactured products and process setups utilizing first article pieces, setup pieces, and shift samples, adhering to established checklists, blueprints, and standards.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records, logs, and forms.
  • Report inspection outcomes and any substandard conditions using appropriate documentation methods.
  • Classify product items as accepted or appropriately disposed of.
  • Review travelers to confirm completeness and generate labels for PCA and chassis assemblies.
  • Assist in preparing corrective and preventive action requests related to production to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • File travelers upon job completion.
  • Uphold 5S standards in the immediate work area.
Qualifications
  • Experience with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in electronics inspection within a manufacturing test environment.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools such as micrometers, microscopes, calipers, and pin gauges.
  • Competent in data entry and maintaining inspection records using PC software.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and related electronic component identification and verification processes.
  • Understanding of ESD procedures and ability to interpret electronic configuration drawings, schematics, and datasheets.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively exchange information verbally and in writing.
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed instructions.
Work Environment

This position is primarily based indoors on the manufacturing floor, requiring prolonged periods of sitting and standing, as well as the ability to read, write, and interpret data.

Physical and Mental Demands

The physical demands outlined are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role:

  • Ability to navigate the facility, including climbing stairs and reaching for items.
  • Frequent communication with colleagues to exchange accurate information.
  • Regular operation of computers and standard office equipment.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs independently and up to 50 lbs with assistance.
