Key Responsibilities
This role is pivotal in establishing broker distribution networks to advocate for the Difference Card product suite, aiding employers in minimizing their health insurance expenditures while preserving excellent benefits for their workforce.
- Identify and engage potential strategic broker partnerships.
- Facilitate sales to clients within the 50 - 5,000 employee range through broker collaborations.
- Oversee the entire sales process from pre-sale to implementation.
- Provide essential broker support to ensure effective education and implementation of the Difference Card, including collaboration with broker partner teams and conducting educational meetings.
- Develop and nurture critical internal relationships.
- Assess customer needs and deliver value-added consultations.
- Maintain a positive representation of the Difference Card in the marketplace.
- Recognize the significance of Wellness and its crucial role in the employee benefits sector.
Performance Metrics
- Activity: 8 broker meetings weekly and 10 client meetings monthly.
- Opportunities: 10 RFPs monthly, resulting in 18,500 quoted lives annually.
- Close Ratio: 22 sold accounts per year with 1,850 newly enrolled business lives.
Education and Licensing Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- State Health Insurance License or the ability to obtain one within three months of starting the position.
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of two years' experience in a sales role within employer group benefits or a related industry.
- Exceptional public speaking abilities with the capacity to present to business decision-makers, brokers, and employees, influencing outcomes effectively.
- Outstanding presentation skills, both in-person and virtually, with experience using platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
- A proven track record of success in new business sales.
- A robust network of group health insurance brokers and consultants.
Compensation Structure
Base Salary plus Variable Commission
