Key Responsibilities- Review and verify demographic and insurance information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with management and peers to resolve insurance denials and appeals in a timely manner.
- Prepare and submit accurate insurance claims and appeals to payers within required timeframes.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, guarantors, insurance carriers, and other departments as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician billing or equivalent medical billing experience.
- Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to meet priorities within set timeframes.
- Ability to work as part of a team and apply critical and strategic thinking.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of benefits and/or coverage as indicated by third-party payer requirements.
- Knowledge of insurance authorizations in relation to medical billing.
