Job Title: Specialist, Customer Service & Patient Collections

Boston Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialist, Customer Service & Patient Collections to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for resolving complex patient and guarantor concerns, ensuring accurate and timely billing, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and resolve complex patient and guarantor concerns, including payer denials, coding accuracy, and billing issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely billing, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Develop and implement solutions to recurring billing trends and issues.
  • Collaborate with payors and patients to resolve issues and ensure timely payment.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing training and support to new hires and experienced staff.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in customer service, billing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
