Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the food production and delivery processes for all patient meals, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage room service inventory and coordinate the stocking of nourishment centers.
- Provide leadership and direction to the room service team, fostering employee development and ensuring adherence to human resource policies.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and address any performance-related issues with staff.
- Monitor and manage daily operational activities, including scheduling and time management for room service personnel.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of sanitation and workplace safety.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to enhance patient satisfaction and address any related concerns.
- Utilize software for food cost control and inventory management, contributing to budgetary planning and resource allocation.
- Develop and implement strategies to continuously improve the quality of room service and patient experiences.
- Preferred: Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts, Business, or a related field.
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food service industry, ideally in a leadership capacity.
- Strong understanding of leadership principles and team dynamics.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and HACCP principles.
- Proficient in food forecasting and cost management.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to recover from service issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and interact with diverse personnel.
- Food Handlers Card (ANSI-accredited) must be obtained within 180 days of employment.
