We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Greater Omaha Packing. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and correct all mechanical and/or building problems that may arise in the plant.
  • Provide direction and leadership for the maintenance crew on designated shift.
  • Implement and evaluate preventative maintenance programs.
  • Responsible for training new personnel on Company safety procedures and safe operating standards in accordance with OSHA.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of equipment and safety inspections.
  • Operate all equipment in accordance with company safety rules and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5 years of experience as a Supervisor/Manager in an industrial setting or in combination with training school.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior rendering experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to safety and ability to address safety items on the spot.
  • Strong Electrical knowledge is a requirement.
  • Must be able to make sound judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Management experience in an agricultural business preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, and welding procedures.
  • Ability to provide leadership and training to maintenance personnel.
  • Team player; works well with others; ability to supervise small groups.
  • Detail oriented; well organized; ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
  • Good math skills.
Physical Demands
  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
  • Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to push, pull, or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in the plant environment and on outside grounds of the property. The job will be carried out in extremely hot and cold environments.
