Customer Service Representative

Job Title: Receptionist/Cashier
Reports To: Office Manager
FLSA Status: Hourly/Full-Time with Benefits
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday-9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Saturday 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM (Saturday's are shared and hours are rotated weekly.)
Summary:
As a key member of the Tom Gill Chevrolet team, the Receptionist/Cashier will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive first impression for all visitors to the dealership. This role requires a strong understanding of the dealership's operations and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
Essential Duties:
- Greets all customers entering the facility with a friendly, upbeat attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
- Directs customers to the correct department, notifies the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduces the customer to a salesperson or service advisor.
- Stays abreast of and helps coordinate all aspects of dealership operation such as: hours of operation, services offered, promotions and special events.
- Answers incoming phone calls. Directs caller to appropriate department or individual or takes a thorough message.
- Communicates with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Communicates messages to the appropriate parties in a timely manner.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Correctly cashiers Service and Parts customers with a balanced cash drawer every day.
- Conducts themselves in a manner that represents being a member of the Tom Gill Chevrolet family.
Reasoning Ability: Must have basic problem-solving reasoning capabilities.

Employee must be able to sit at a desk for long periods of time. Employee must be able to speak clearly, hear, and see. Employee must be able to use his/her arms, hands and fingers to work at a computer. Employee must be able to physically answer multiple telephone calls, understand what is being communicated by the caller, and be capable of transferring calls using the current telephone system. Employee must be able to write and read.
Work Environment: The work environment for this employee is an indoor, fast-paced (multi-tasking), office-type environment.
