The Registered Nurse will be tasked with delivering and coordinating thorough patient care through the nursing process, ensuring safe and therapeutic practices in line with established protocols. By employing evidence-based methodologies, clinical judgment, empathy, and effective communication, the nurse will strive to foster the safest patient environment and enhance the overall patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identifies and monitors significant changes in patient conditions, statuses, and care requirements. Conducts continuous assessments and adjusts care plans as necessary, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Implements measures to mitigate patient risks and enhance safety. Evaluates patient and family readiness for learning, tailoring educational approaches to meet their specific needs.
  • Coordinates discharge planning through an interdisciplinary framework, applying evidence-based practices to patient care. Integrates nursing and regulatory standards into daily practice.
  • Continuously assesses patient, team, and unit outcomes, taking decisive actions when improvements are warranted. Engages in shared governance initiatives aimed at enhancing processes and patient outcomes.
  • Exhibits strong communication, feedback, and conflict resolution skills, fostering collaboration among healthcare professionals. Takes on a leadership role within the care team and delegates tasks appropriately.
  • Advocates for a culture of safety by identifying potential threats to patient well-being and intervening to avert harm. Reports safety incidents promptly and seeks to rectify potential safety concerns.
  • Utilizes ethical decision-making, demonstrating respect and understanding for colleagues and other clinical disciplines. Contributes effectively as a member of the patient care team to develop an integrated, unbiased approach to care.
  • Engages in quality improvement initiatives to enhance departmental functions and the patient care experience.
  • Participates in professional development activities that contribute to personal growth and the advancement of others. Seeks mentorship and attends required educational programs, completing annual competencies punctually.
  • Demonstrates the ability to provide holistic patient care, recognizing and responding to situational changes with confidence and adaptability. Proficient in computer skills, including electronic communication and medical records systems. Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
