Job Overview:



This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Server Administration Specialist to join the KBR team in a flexible remote workplace setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing server administration support for the Integrated Product Team and its customers, maintaining application software, monitoring, and troubleshooting issues within the software environment.



Responsibilities:





  • Perform daily checks of IT systems, triage, monitor, and work NAVAIR National Help Desk support tickets. Complete Configuration Change Control Board (CCB) requests.

  • Perform general IT requirements, installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in an unclassified network environment for applications, databases, integrations, or infrastructure as assigned. Support Apache and IIS web servers, including install, configuration, and ongoing support.

  • Support Windows Server performance monitoring, including monitoring disk space and resource utilization, capacity, and availability. Perform server application software installation, configuration, and regular code update deployments, and vendor hot-fixes.

  • Provide troubleshooting support using application logs and Windows logs. Coordinate outsourced help requests. Assist with coordination of Maintenance Scheduling. Assist with license and subscription management.

  • Possess the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Attend and contribute to Teams collaboration meetings for new requirements, troubleshooting/diagnosis, monitoring, and server-side application support. Assist with documenting processes and procedures and keeping documentation updated. Provide weekend and after-hours support as required.



Requirements:



This position requires a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems or a related field, plus 5 years of experience. Security clearance must be eligible for a DoD Secret clearance with T5 (SSBI) investigation. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc. The ideal candidate should possess Security+ Certification and an Operating System Certification. Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Azul Zulu, and scripting languages is a plus.
