As a SQL Server Database Administrator, Jr, you will perform administration of SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services. You will ensure system availability, data integrity, monitor/troubleshoot backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and modify database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers); create/alter stored procedures and views
  • Implement and operate SQL Server Services running on physical standalone and clustered servers, and Virtual Machine environments
  • Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required
  • Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements:

  • BS/BA OR AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience
  • SQL server database administration experience required
  • Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and indexes required
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required. Advance certification CASP or CISSP acceptable

Security Clearance:

Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
