The successful candidate will perform administration of SQL Server database engine, SQL Server Service Broker, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Reporting Services. This includes ensuring system availability, data integrity, monitoring/troubleshooting backup and recoveries, performance, disk space, and network connectivity.

Key responsibilities include designing and modifying database objects (tables, schemas, indexes, and triggers), creating/altering stored procedures and views, implementing and operating SQL Server Services running on physical standalone and clustered servers, and virtual machine environments. Occasional daily/evening/weekend on-site support for upgrades/patching is required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS/BA OR AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience.
  • SQL server database administration experience required.
  • Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures, triggers, constraints, and indexes required.
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization required.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required. Advance certification CASP or CISSP acceptable.

Security Clearance:

Active TS/SSBI clearance desired or active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SSBI. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:

BS/BA OR AA/AS degree OR HS and 2 years related experience.
