Job Overview

Position Title: Logistics Warehouse Associate

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will engage in a variety of daily operations within the Warehouse and Shipping/Receiving Division. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Shipping and Receiving Duties:

· Handling the shipping, receiving, and unloading of freight, utilizing both manual methods and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

· Inspecting incoming merchandise for any damages; confirming the quantity and quality of received orders.

· Matching received items with purchase orders for accuracy.

· Transporting supplies to and from work or storage locations; may involve maintaining material handling equipment (MHE).

  • Preparing parcels for dispatch and managing phone communications to arrange pickups and deliveries.

· Proficient use of shipping software for FedEx, UPS, and DHL, including the completion of required bills of lading for major freight carriers.

Inventory Management and Administrative Tasks:

· Participating in physical inventory counts within the warehouse.

· Utilizing a personal computer to input, access, and amend information as necessary.

· Assisting with cycle counts and additional inventory-related responsibilities.

  • Ensuring a safe and tidy work environment by organizing shelves, pallet areas, and workstations; performing cleaning tasks such as sweeping and dusting.

Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

· Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to pass a criminal background check.

· A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

· Experience in handling, storing, and shipping materials or supplies; familiarity with operating material handling equipment (MHE) is preferred; ability to access and review information on a computer.

· Capable of being trained on MHE operation; must regularly bend, stoop, lift, and move objects weighing up to 60 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move objects exceeding 100 pounds; able to stand and walk continuously throughout an 8-hour shift; comfortable working in dusty and dirty environments.

· Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice.

· Ability to perform pickups and deliveries for packages and materials using a personal vehicle or company vehicle.

· Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Demonstrates a strong work ethic and effectively utilizes time to achieve work objectives.

Work Environment:

· Use of a personal vehicle or company van for transporting merchandise, packages, or equipment.

· Work is conducted in both shop and office settings.

· Exposure to various shop elements including heat, cold, noise, dust, odors, fumes, and grease; may encounter slippery or uneven surfaces.

· Frequent walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching; heavy lifting and carrying required.

· Work occurs both indoors and outdoors; involves working around moving objects and vehicles; may require use of ladders and scaffolding.
