About the Role

Cepheid is seeking a highly skilled Territory Sales Executive to join our team in Houston North. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our presence in the molecular diagnostics market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with laboratory, pharmacy, and nursing management teams to identify qualified leads and grow market share.
  • Drive demand for and adoption of new assays and instrumentation to deliver on quarterly and annual orders and revenue sales targets.
  • Optimize cycle time by utilizing CRM tools to maintain customer and account activity, map visibility, and drive market share.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to healthcare or a Master's degree in a field related to healthcare with 3+ years of related sales experience.
  • Proven sales success in selling premium-priced products, preferably in laboratory diagnostics.
  • Experience engaging multiple call points within the hospital, including laboratory and outside-of-the-laboratory.
  • Ability to pass vendor credentialing requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in using SalesForce CRM.
  • Expertise in demand creation for groundbreaking technologies versus replacement technology.
  • Experience engaging multiple call points within alternate-site markets.
