Associate Technical Sourcing Manager

As a Technical Sourcing Specialist at CooperSurgical, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission. You will be responsible for managing supplier interactions with M&A & R&D, identifying potential new sources, and tracking and managing improvements in procured component supply risk, quality, material cost, and response/lead time.
You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that our products are fully prepared to transition to post-production following necessary validation activities. Your expertise will be essential in driving closure of open action items and ensuring that our suppliers meet our high standards.

Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier interactions with M&A & R&D
- Identify potential new sources
- Track and manage improvements in procured component supply risk, quality, material cost, and response/lead time
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product readiness for post-production
- Drive closure of open action items and ensure supplier compliance
Requirements:
- Foundational project management skills
- Communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of supply chain management principles
- Ability to meet customer needs through design and handoff
- Technically oriented background
Work Environment:
Works remotely with occasional travel to CooperSurgical manufacturing locations and suppliers' sites as required. Interacts with domestic and international suppliers frequently. Travels frequently domestically and internationally as needed to support business requirements.
Experience:
Progressively responsible experience in materials management/purchasing. 1+ years' experience working in a highly regulated environment and proven familiarity with applicable regulations to include MDR and FDA. 2+ years' experience reading design files to include 2D and 3D models. 1+ years' experience working with ERP, inventory management within D365 or similar system software. Experience leading cross-functional projects and teams.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering, supply chain management, or business analytics.
