Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Assistant to join our team at Maritime Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing ocean services for the Americas and providing assistance to other regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and negotiate with suppliers to maintain contracts and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Organize and analyze regional information to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Operations to resolve issues with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Assist with cost control by reviewing and approving invoices from suppliers.
  • Provide sales teams with accurate ocean quotes to secure new business.
  • Prepare reports for Procurement management to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and efficient supply chain.
  • Monitor contractor performance and recommend contract modifications as needed.
  • Keep Manager informed of any deviations or issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in ocean carrier operations and services.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to build business relationships on multiple levels.
  • Negotiating skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of knowledge in Excel Spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
