Procurement Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Assistant to join our team at Maritime Company. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing ocean services for the Americas and providing assistance to other regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and negotiate with suppliers to maintain contracts and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Organize and analyze regional information to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Collaborate with Operations to resolve issues with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Assist with cost control by reviewing and approving invoices from suppliers.
- Provide sales teams with accurate ocean quotes to secure new business.
- Prepare reports for Procurement management to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a stable and efficient supply chain.
- Monitor contractor performance and recommend contract modifications as needed.
- Keep Manager informed of any deviations or issues that arise.
Requirements:
- At least 2-3 years of experience in ocean carrier operations and services.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to build business relationships on multiple levels.
- Negotiating skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of knowledge in Excel Spreadsheets and PowerPoint.
