Job Summary:

Trendsetter Engineering, Inc. is seeking a skilled Project Procurement Specialist to assist with the company's project procurement needs. The successful candidate will partner with project management, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure purchase orders are fulfilled to meet customer and project expectations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with project management, manufacturing, and engineering teams to issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine compatibility with company/project objectives, including cost, quality, safety, delivery, and other relevant factors.
  • Monitor supplier costs, delivery schedules, quality, and conformance to specifications to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Research and identify alternative sources of supply and benchmark for ongoing projects to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Provide procurement guidance on overall procurement strategies and challenge suppliers on cost, quality, and delivery parameters.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in approving incoming invoices and ensure timely payment to suppliers.
  • Assist in sourcing, evaluating, and implementing new suppliers to meet project requirements.
  • Share procurement knowledge and best practices across the company to improve overall procurement efficiency.
  • Communicate with project managers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams on any part-related issues to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify performance gaps and delays that could be eliminated to save time and costs, and provide recommendations to improve procurement processes.
  • Provide company-wide feedback on components and expected arrival dates to ensure timely project completion.
  • Understand inventory management and stock level replenishment to optimize procurement strategies.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, supply chain management, or business administration, and at least 2 years of previous experience in a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management principles.
  • Ability to set priorities and take initiative to drive results.
  • 5-10 years of purchasing experience with a focus on procurement and supply chain management, and a minimum of 2-3 years of subsea industry experience.
