Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Educator to join our team at Friendship Public Charter School. As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for creating a classroom culture of high achievement and student ownership of their learning, providing daily instruction, and incorporating creative, hands-on learning experiences into lessons.

Responsibilities
  • Create a classroom environment that fosters students' intellectual, social, and emotional development.
  • Design and deliver high-quality lessons that align with Friendship's curriculum and standards.
  • Incorporate hands-on learning experiences that broaden students' exposure and interests.
  • Communicate with students to understand their talents, interests, and needs, and convey learning expectations and progress.
  • Collaborate with school-based staff and throughout the Friendship network to enhance students' learning experience and increase student achievement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Successful completion of the Praxis II Exam.
  • One year of teaching experience with results demonstrating high student achievement and significant growth.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in mathematics or a math-related field.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and above.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and/or continuing education.
  • Two years of teaching experience with results demonstrating high student achievement and significant growth.
