Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. You will demonstrate positive behavior and the ability to implement a plan of care. Your duties will require detailed knowledge of surgical instruments and prescribed procedures to provide Surgeons with the appropriate sterile instruments and supplies throughout the course of surgery.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Accurately completing assignments within scheduled time periods

• Communicating pertinent patient information and actual or potential problems

• Cooperating with reassignments in the interest of patient care

• Demonstrating the ability to care for patients by providing safe, direct patient care

• Performing patient care duties in a safe and efficient manner

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate degree from an accredited ultrasound program. You will also need to have experience in arterial duplex, ABI/PVR, carotid, venous, venous insufficiency, abdominal aorta, and renal ultrasounds. Additionally, you will need to be able to perform general sonography and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms, are also required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of two (2) years of vascular ultrasound experience is preferred. You will also need to have AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification and ARDMS-RVT certification or be eligible to obtain it.
