Key Responsibilities- Support incoming phone calls by accepting payments, confirming policy information, and managing account changes.
- Provide accurate and complete information to authorized parties, including policy details and coverages.
- Receive and process incoming applications from clients or field associates.
- Notify the underwriting department of changes to risk.
- Review and post premium payments.
- Become an expert in programs used to disseminate policy status and inquiries.
- Review, create, and modify payment plans, including setting up auto-drafts from clients' bank accounts.
- Identify funds needed for lapsed payment policies and process payments according to guidelines.
- Assist with assigned projects.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Work experience in call center and/or customer-focused positions, preferably in insurance, banking, finance, retail, or food service.
- Bi-lingual skills.
- Positive phone disposition and ability to maintain confidence when communicating with clients.
- Strong cognitive and multi-task skills.
- Ability to learn and retain information quickly.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High attention to detail and follow-up.
- Aptitude to navigate various computer programs simultaneously.
- Commitment to ongoing education in relation to the company and products/services offered.
