Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to solve complex engineering problems and improve product designs, utilizing your expertise in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Perform detailed documentation to track project development and design process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring timely completion and cost-effectiveness.
  • Test and evaluate prototypes of your designs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Utilize CAD, BIM, and other relevant software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Estimate cost limits and budgets for new designs, taking into account material costs, labor, and other factors.
  • Supervise the manufacturing process of your designs, ensuring quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate and implement design changes, specifications, and drawing releases, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide technical advice to team members and clients, leveraging your expertise to drive project success.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Proven experience with CAD, BIM, and other engineering design software, with a strong understanding of mechanical design, physics, microprocessors, and material science.
  • Experience working on commercial and industrial projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, with a strong attention to detail and analytical mind.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
