Job Summary
ENERCON is seeking a highly skilled Pipe Stress Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Federal Services Group, you will be responsible for preparing complete documentation of pipe stress analysis and supporting design for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems
- Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics along with type of supports
- Coordinate selection, location, and support loads with Civil/Structure group
- Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles & high secondary stresses in piping
- Evaluate local stresses via code cases
- Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical piping systems, and pipe stress analysis
- Experience with a combination of software for pipe stress analysis (AutoPIPE, ME 101, PIPESTRESS, CAESAR II, CAEPIPE)
- Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills
