Responsibilities
Due to continued growth, our Federal Services Group is seeking Pipe Stress Engineer for our Kennesaw, GA, FT Worth, TX, Dallas, TX, Naperville, IL, Aiken, SC, Kennewick, WA and Overland Park, KS offices.
• Prepare complete documentation of the pipe stress analysis and support design for process piping and utility piping systems in support of nuclear and non-nuclear projects by:
o Performs piping flexibility analysis (static and dynamic) for critical piping systems
o Perform analysis for sustained, thermal and multiple operating cases, occasional (winds, seismic, relief, water hammer
o Locate and identify pipe supports on isometrics along with type of supports (. spring hangers, snubbers, struts,
o Coordinate selection, location, and support loads with Civil/Structure group to assist in fdesign/selection of supports
o Resolve high pipe loads on equipment nozzles & high secondary stresses in piping
o Evaluation of local stresses via code cases
o Review and sign-off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting
• Prepare error-free engineering documents for commercial nuclear facilities (., drawings, sketches, instructions, inputs, calculations, analyses, evaluations) according to and bounded by industry codes, standards, and regulations to support client engineering needs
• Generate engineering-related documents in accordance with client, ENERCON, and regulatory requirements, adhering to client and ENERCON procedures, processes, specifications, and other company or project directives
• Maintain up-to-date and relevant knowledge of industry codes and standards, safety culture, and design techniques suitable to the nuclear industry
• Provide peer and technical reviews of engineering designs and engineering-related documentation produced by others
• Build strong relationships with clients through professional interactions and communications, and through the development of quality engineering products
• Consult with other disciplines to ensure designs are compatible with and have considered all disciplinary requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Civil Engineering from an accredited university and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design of mechanical piping systems, and pipe stress analysis.
• Experience with a combination of the following software for pipe stress analysis:
AutoPIPE (preferred) ME 101 PIPESTRESS (preferred) CAESAR II CAEPIPE• Advanced knowledge of applicable mechanical codes and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor, work effectively in teams, and provide leadership\mentoring to junior engineers.
• Must be able to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to traverse client sites to conduct walk down.
• Ability to independently perform advanced technical work including complex calculations and analyses under general management oversight.
• Must be a US Citizen
Salary Range
The salary range for this full-time position is below. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Pay Range
USD $78,400.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
