Apex Systems is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide exceptional support for our prominent Technology client. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the operational efficiency of computer systems.

Position Overview:

Role: Field Service Technician I

Location: Dallas, TX

Contract Duration: 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement

Compensation: $19-21 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Document and manage upgrades or replacements of hardware and software systems.
  • Assist in maintaining user account information, including security rights and system groups.
  • Provide training to employees, identifying and resolving product failures, and managing parts replacement as necessary.
  • Evaluate and recommend products or services that align with customer needs.
  • Entry-level position requiring an associate's degree or equivalent experience, with 2+ years in a related field.
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the technology sector.
  • Follow established guidelines and instructions to perform job functions effectively.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience supporting desktops and laptops.
  • 1-3+ years of customer service experience.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Availability to work weekends and flexible shifts, including evenings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with diverse users.
  • Ability to work from heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Participation in an on-call rotation after training completion.
  • Comfortable working in various physical positions, including bending and kneeling.
  • Possession of a smartphone with tethering capabilities (reimbursement available).
  • Access to a laptop and basic hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license required.
