Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Shared Living Provider and Support Specialist to join our team at Renewed Vision Counseling and Developmental Disability Center. As a Shared Living Provider, you will play a vital role in providing direct care and instruction to individuals with developmental disabilities, empowering them to live independently and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and modify programs for consumer skill acquisition, ensuring alignment with agency policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and attend to client needs as identified in the Individualized Plan of Care (IPP).
  • Administer medication as prescribed, following doctor's orders and utilizing agency procedures.
  • Assist with client financial needs, including entering transactions, establishing and balancing accounts, and ensuring timely bill payments.
  • Support daily living needs, such as grooming, hygiene, grocery purchasing, menu planning, household management, cooking, and clothing care.
  • Facilitate community access, including planning and organizing recreational activities, providing transportation, and ensuring social integration.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, supervisors, and other agency staff on client status and progress.
  • Model professionalism and maintain a harmonious atmosphere in the residential setting.
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and accompany clients to medical appointments as requested.

Requirements:

  • Age requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certifications and background checks: Must pass a background investigation, including a criminal history and APS/CPS check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Communication skills: Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
  • Math skills: Ability to perform basic math functions, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Home management skills: Knowledge of general home management skills, including cooking, housekeeping, menu planning, and laundry.
  • Community knowledge: Familiarity with the community and modes of access, including recreational opportunities.
  • Healthcare knowledge: General knowledge of basic healthcare procedures, including personal hygiene, first aid, and routine medical care.

Work Environment:

This is a contract or full-time position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $90,000 per year. Benefits include a flexible schedule and professional development assistance.
