Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Server Administrator to join our team at Raytheon Careers. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Experience with Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Understanding of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
  • Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • Travel required as business needs dictate to other US Domestic locations, up to 10% per year.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience or 6 years of directly related experience.
  • S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have Linux or Windows experience.
  • Experience with Active Directory, VMware, Administration, backup and recovery.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD, depending on experience. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
