Job Title: Systems Administrator

Collins Aerospace Careers is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide system administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Have an understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals, including DNS, DHCP, AD, and Linux integration methods.
  • Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment, using troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity.
  • Understand data RAID, data backup uses and technologies, and install and configure software applications requested by end users.
Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
  • You must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date.
  • Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities.
  • Must have experience with Windows and Linux/Unix server and workstations.
  • Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
  • Experience with Windows architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products.
  • Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with NetApp.
  • Scripting Experience (PowerShell, Ansible, Python)
  • Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
