Job Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the ICU during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource person for staff and modeling a commitment to the organization's vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services and collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, and assist with staff scheduling and managing labor in accordance with patient care needs.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- CCRN certification.
- 1-2 years of critical care experience.
