Pediatric Clinical Faculty Position

Chamberlain University is seeking a dedicated and experienced clinical instructor to join our team. As a clinical instructor, you will play a vital role in implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.

- Teach onsite in a clinical setting with one of our clinical partners, with a schedule that typically includes 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.
- Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
- Plan clinical experiences for and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
- Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
- Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
- May teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
- Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean, with a course coordinator providing direct oversight.
- A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
- An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Texas.
- At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
- A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
- Operate with a sense of responsibility and purpose with the desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
Chamberlain University is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates. We offer a competitive compensation package, including a range of $560 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the credit hour assigned to the course. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law.
