Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at Tanner Health System.
About the Role:This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in medical imaging and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the ultrasound area.
- Perform ultrasound procedures with minimal supervision.
- Maintain all professional registrations and certifications mandated by policy and regulatory agencies.
- Stock the ultrasound area with proper supplies.
- Participate in continuing education and department meetings.
- Responsible for maintenance of proper patient records.
- Responsible for OA/AC programs.
- Responsible for ultrasound maintenance on equipment.
- Technical or vocational school plus up to 2 years specialty training.
- No prior work experience required.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification.
- ARDMS, CCI, or registry eligible for either.
- Must possess or obtain one of the ARDMS credentials (RVT, RDCS, RDS), one the CCI credentials (ACS, RCCS, RCS, or RVS), or ARRT(S) credentialing within 18 months of hire date.
This role requires frequent but limited contacts with many others to do the job, or extensive contacts with a limited number of categories of people to apply procedures or treatment.
The effect of error may be serious and involve losses such as improper costs, overpayment, waste of material, damage to equipment, and delay in processing work.
The role requires considerable physical effort, including lifting, carrying, or handling medium weight equipment, materials, or supplies most of the day.
Occasional physical effort with heavy objects (over 60 lbs.) and works in reaching or strained positions frequently.
Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or some work is performed with exposure to temperature/weather extremes/occupational risk and probability of coming into contact with blood-borne pathogens, other potentially infectious diseases, or biomedical/bio-hazardous materials.
