Job Title: IT Infrastructure Sourcing Leader

NYU Langone Health is a world-renowned academic medical center, known for its excellence in clinical care, research, and education. We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Sourcing Leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The IT Infrastructure Sourcing Leader will be responsible for leading the development of annual and multi-year sourcing strategies and plans for IT Infrastructure categories. This includes collaborating with Medical Center IT Missions (MCIT), IT Finance, Legal, and Vendor leadership to ensure alignment with NYU's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies and plans for IT Infrastructure categories
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand current and future needs in IT Infrastructure
  • Lead end-to-end, large, IT Infrastructure sourcing projects
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key IT Infrastructure vendors
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and collaborate with suppliers to optimize service delivery and cost effectiveness
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations for IT Infrastructure sourcing projects
  • Provide subject matter expertise on technology contracts and terms
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging software technologies
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities
  • Collaborate closely with finance and stakeholders to oversee and enhance cost management for IT Infrastructure
  • Perform total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to identify cost saving opportunities and drive efficiency
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to meet/exceed the annual savings targets
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT Infrastructure category, ensuring business continuity and compliance with policies, procedures, and contracting principles, regulations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in Technology sourcing focusing on IT Infrastructure
  • Proficiency in core Procurement skills; Stakeholder Management, Supplier Management and Performance, Market Analysis, Financial Analysis (TCO), IT Category Management, Negotiations, Procurement Excellence, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and project management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) or other recognized certification
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Console, etc.) and optimizing overall cloud spending
