Transportation Resident Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Resident Engineer to join our team in Henderson, NV. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading and working on various roadway construction projects, utilities construction, water/wastewater construction, and other public works projects for cities and counties in Las Vegas and Henderson.
Key Responsibilities- Act as owner's representative for construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications.
- Administer construction contracts, including verifying contractor payment applications and negotiating change orders.
- Provide technical review of material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built documents.
- Conduct project meetings, prepare agendas, and track assigned actions.
- Schedule and coordinate observation of ongoing work and testing and sampling of materials.
- Assign, lead, supervise, and train internal staff engaged in observation and testing and related recordkeeping.
- Monitor contractors' progress against schedule and prepare progress reports.
- Oversee compilation of project closeout documents.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and seven years of related experience, including personnel supervision.
- P.E. license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Leadership and managerial skills.
- Analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to supervise field representatives and field office personnel.
