About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Coordinator to join our team at Salamander Employer DC, LLC.

Job Description
  • Support the Sales and Catering departments by providing administrative assistance to managers, answering phone calls, and managing group/catering leads.
  • Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, taking messages, arranging conference calls, scheduling meetings, handling information requests, making travel arrangements, completing/processing expense reports, sending meeting notifications/reminders for recurring calendar obligations, and other similar tasks.
  • Manage RFP partnership websites by updating content, Hot Dates, while daily reviewing new RFPs and assigning them to appropriate Sales and Catering Managers.
  • Assist with information about the resort and answer telephone calls.
  • Audit and complete group contract turnover checklist for each definite contract in preparation to handover to Conference Services.
  • Handle departmental monthly expenses, balances checkbook, orders supplies, manage/orders collateral, and assigns purchase orders for direct expenses and merchandise.
  • Prepare summaries and reports for the benefit of the Director of Sales & Marketing as directed for the purpose processing of necessary information pertaining to resort operations, group sales pace, meetings, and all other business demand.
  • Manage VIP amenities and welcome notes for the Resort Manager and Director of Sales and Marketing in addition to VIP list of arrivals/in-house.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of administrative assistant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience working for senior level manager and/or supporting multiple managers.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills, including Microsoft Office 10, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to accurately type at least 50 words per minute.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per yearWork Environment
  • Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers, and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
  • Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
