Salary Range: $21.78/hr - Max $34.85/hr

Position Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for the repair, upkeep, and assembly of various machinery, equipment, and building systems. This includes but is not limited to HVAC units, pumps, motors, compressors, plumbing, electrical systems, and other mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and inspections on machinery and systems.
  • Overhaul and maintain various machines and equipment, including compressors and pumps, while fabricating necessary parts using welding and power tools.
  • Repair and maintain essential equipment such as surgical tables, medical gas systems, and automatic doors.
  • Perform minor construction tasks, including painting, plastering, and plumbing.
  • Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Utilize blueprints and schematics to guide maintenance work.
  • Maintain an inventory of spare parts and equipment documentation.
  • Document all maintenance activities, including tests and inspections.
  • Participate in mandatory overtime and assist other trades as needed.
  • Support fire alarm inspections and maintenance.
  • Engage in safe practices and uphold workplace safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
  • An Associate's Degree in a relevant field may substitute for two years of experience.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a multi-trade maintenance environment is required.

Physical Demands:

  • Constant standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, and balancing.
  • Frequent crawling, reaching, handling, and grasping.

Working Conditions:

  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, and wet conditions.
  • Frequent exposure to noise and potential hazards.
